The Magic Keyboard has a USB-C connector in the spine of the keyboard - which is intended for connection to the iPad Power Adapter. Power is then delivered to the iPad, when connected to the Magic Keyboard, via the Smart Connector.

    Would be great for a wall-mounted iPad so there's no need for a charging cable. My understanding is that there's a long and costly approval process (as with any Made for iPhone accessory) so not too many 3rd party accessory makers.
