Dec 2, 2023 · Yes, absolutely ANY controller that just consists of switches and no electronics is going to work. Switches is switches. Genesis is electronic so I'm guessing it causes issues with the 2600+. But even on original C64 and Atari etc you want to be careful with genesis controllers else you blow something up. 1.
Currently no way to play two-button 7800 games, but they've announced that a new 2-button 7800 controller is coming, so that will apparently be fixed. The 2600+ does actually work with the Harmony Cart if you just load one game on the card and don't use the menu. edit: Also it does not work with 4:3 LCD monitors, only 16:9 resolutions.
Dec 4, 2023 · Note, I have 200+ Atari 2600 games, a lot of weird and rare ones, so I plan to bust those out in January and hook up an old 2600 next to a CRT and test them side by side with my 2600+. Just tested a few games, and these didn't work. FAILSAFE - Atari 7800 Homebrew from AtariAge Store (never used before, first time tested)
