I want to unlink my steam account to put it on my main steam account would the game stay in my rock star account would that work. it should be illegal for game saves to be locked to a ONLINE only launcher. Im pretty fed up with Rockstar's social club. When im trying to play games i paid for offline.
Yes, that should work fine. I have the Steam version and the Epic version each on different user accounts and they work fine. You can have multiple steam accounts using the same games with the same installation, no need to have more than one copy of files.

Dec 18, 2023 · Yes, GTA Online does have cross-progression using the Rockstar Games Social Club. For example, I play on both PC and PS5, and my character model, inventory, garage, and funds all transfer across between one and the other.
