It may be a free transfer, or a discounted fare depending on which agency you are traveling with. Transfer Window. Your transfer window will start the first time you tap. If you transfer to GO Transit during your trip, your transfer window will reset when you tap at a GO station or on a GO bus.
How it works: Tap your PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket, debit or credit card (including cards loaded on in a mobile wallet) on a card reader when you enter a subway station or board a vehicle. Your fare will be deducted and a transfer will be applied to your card or ticket.
Customers paying with a PRESTO card, PRESTO in Google Wallet, debit or credit card (physical or one in a mobile wallet) will be able to transfer for free between the TTC, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit, thanks to Ontario’s new One Fare Program.
You can easily transfer between GO Transit and the following transit agencies, using your PRESTO card, credit card, or debit card: Brampton Transit. Burlington Transit. Durham Region Transit. Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) MiWay. Oakville Transit. York Region Transit/Viva (YRT/Viva) UP Express. Check your Transfer Window on the PRESTO App.

When you pay with a Presto card, you can transfer between buses, the O-Train and Para Transpo vehicles within this transfer period for no additional charge. Keep in mind that because Para Transpo trips must be booked 90 minutes apart, most normal trips will not qualify for a transfer.
