May 2, 2023 · Similar to using your PRESTO card, creating a PRESTO account isn’t necessary, but there are advantages to setting one up and adding your cards. If you tap to pay with a credit or physical debit card, you can view your transaction history on the PRESTO website or app. The length of time for charges to appear may vary depending on your bank.
The card number and such are needed to add the card, but because Apple Pay doesn’t use the same card number, trips paid with AP don’t seem to show up for the same CC. It doesn’t seem there is a way to view the CC details AP uses so I was wondering if there’s another way to add it to presto.
It was a Metrolink board meeting however I can't really find a link to it. They announced it at the same time that they announced that credit and debit card payments were coming to all systems. They are waiting until the TTC is ready for that though before they activate virtual Presto cards in both goggle wallet and apple pay.
Slight variation but you can use the “add card” option on the presto app and add a credit card that you have on your apple pay. I believe that treatment makes it identical to your presto card effectively, you get the fare discounts etc and you can see your trips etc on the presto app
