  1. Aug 19, 2002 · Anything that excepts either or both S-video/composite can be used with any Atari 8-bit except for the 400 (IIRK). To use Atari chroma/lumina with modern s-video mini din jacks as inputs requires an adapter to combine the seperate RCA chroma and lumina jacks into an s-video plug if using a cable like mine, or, a direct adapter/cable that ...

  2. Feb 23, 2019 · First a bit of background about Atari 8-bit computer video. All of the Atari 8-bit computers have a monitor port that outputs a composite video signal. This is a single-channel analog video signal that is connected to a monitor or TV through a yellow connector that is often found as part of an RCA connector that also includes red and white audio connectors for stereo sound.

  8. Jun 9, 2020 · It also works with the 800 so I can recommend that. If you MUST have the best quality image on an LCD screen, you can get there with an upscaler. The best one out there is (arguably) the Micomsoft Framemeister XRGB-Mini but it is very pricey, but will give you a fantastic image on any HDMI LCD with a minimum of latency.
