Personally, I wouldn't use my real name - especially if I was considering making some controversial videos (pick-up videos can be considered quite controversial). Presumably you'll be showing your face anyways, but using an alias allows you at least one separation from your personal/professional life, which I think is especially important in the beginning when starting out on YT.
