   Is the iPad a good replacement for a laptop?

   • I’ve actually used the iPad as my main computer for the past five years or so. Gone from 9.7 (pro)to 11 (2018 pro) to 12.9 (2021 pro). I also have a 2017 i7 12” macbook and a Lenovo laptop, but I rarely use them. The new 12.9 with magic keyboard is a fantastic laptop replacement. I tried the first gen 12.9 but never fell for it as it was to big.

   Which monitor should I buy for my iPad Pro?

   • I went with the 27in UHD 4k Clarity monitor by Alogic. This monitor is perfect for an iPad Pro. The aspect ratio is great, the 4k monitor is extremely bright and clear, it has built-in speakers (not super great but they are there), and it connects via Thunderbolt so it delivers power to the iPad and the stand it comes with is amazingly built.

   • iPadOS isn’t the only thing wrong with the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement though. The Magic Keyboard does a lot right with the space that it has to work with, but it still couldn’t fix the small touchpad. Don’t get me wrong, it works as well as it can, but it’s a bit uncomfortable to go from typing to scrolling.
