Don't forget, when sharing screenshots from your runs, to also share the unique code so others can try the same run. Because it says “when” this card is synchro summoned, not “if”. If you use another card’s effect (e.g. formula synchro) at chain 2 or above, you will miss the timing since its synchro summon is not the last thing to be resolved in the chain.
Because the "When this card is Synchro Summoned:" effect is a "when" effect it can miss the timing, no chains should happen. Last edited by Zoie Shales ; Apr 11, 2022 @ 11:13am #3

Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity
•This card's Synchro materials can be generalised to "3 Tuners + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters". Therefore, an easy way to Synchro Summon this card involves using "Machine Duplication" to bring out two more of a Level 3 Machine Tuner monster with 500 or less ATK (such as "Black Salvo"). Summon it alongside a Level 3 non-Tuner enabler (such as "Marauding Captain", or a monster summoned by "Unexpected Dai" or "Emergency Teleport"). Synchro Summon "Muddy Mudragon" using the Level 3 non-Tuner and one of the Machines, then Synchro Summon this card using "Muddy Mudragon" and the other two Machines.
•"Ascator, Dawnwalker" can set up the Synchro Summon of a Level 8 DARK Dragon without using up your Normal Summon, thus freeing it up for "Junk Synchron" or "Deep Sea Diva" to Special Summon the other Tuner monster required to complete the Synchro material requirements for this card.
•When this card is destroyed, Special Summon "Samsara, Dragon of Rebirth" from your Graveyard, which can revive this card when it is destroyed in return.
•Use "Formula Synchron", "Accel Synchron" or "Synchro Transmission" to Summon this card during the opponent's turn and get an "additional" turn. Since another effect is used to Synchro Summon it, the summon cannot be negated, only the effect.
•The effect that performs the Synchro Summon must occur as Chain Link 1, otherwise this card's effect would miss the timing.
•This card can perform an OTK if it successfully attacks two Attack Position monsters in a turn via effects like "Tyrant Wing".
I also just got a message back from someone who told me that if Calamity is summoned using Crimson Dragon but Crimson Dragon resolved as CL2 or higher, Calamity would miss timing. "Missing the timing only occurs if the action that misses the timing (in this case the king calamity's on summon effect), is triggered by an action (the summon) that was not the last thing that happened on the last ...
If this card destroys a monster by battle: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original ATK. If this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can target 1 Level 8 or lower DARK Dragon Synchro Monster in your GY; Special Summon it. 2 Tuners + 1 non-Tuner DARK Dragon Synchro Monster
