I usually surround the sapling with stone bricks up to 5 blocks high, giving it its own “chimney” so to speak. Then i just break one of the bottom blocks so i can actually use bonemeal and then just spam till its forced to grow a tree taller than the “chimney”. Works most of the time. 2. riphummer.

Jul 20, 2019 · 4X4 jungle and spruce trees will grow with blocks next to them on the same level as long as the north west sapling has no blocks next to it (even diagonally). Dark oak (4X4) grows with blocks on all 4 sides of the saplings.
