A Bee Hive is a mini-biome located in the Underground Jungle. The hive itself is made from Hive blocks; on the interior, it contain pools of honey and typically one Larva. Destroying the Larva summons the Queen Bee.
Bee hives are naturally-spawning blocks used to generate honeycombs and house bees. Bee hives spawn hanging from fully grown trees. Once generated they cannot be removed from the tree besides chopping the tree down. There is a chance of a bee hive spawning if a tree is near a flower.

If the current amount of bees on an island exceeds the maximum capacity of bee hives, bees will fly away from the island. Unlike real life bees, bees do not fertilize flowers in any way. However, bees will pollinate fertile flower types to create rare flower breeds.
