Make sure the bottom sash is unlocked, and maneuver the window according to your manufacturer’s instructions: pull it towards you and tilt it until it’s facing down.
Locate the plunger-pins holding the screen on the inside. They are usually at the bottom part. Pull them inward to release the window screen. Detach the screen from the window. This should be done with care. Make sure you are not leaning out the window and there is no one standing outside in case the screen falls.
