Glow-worms. There are glow-worms in the Main Garden, from the Duck Pond up to Glen Road alongside Pukatea Stream. They can only be seen at night; the best time to spot them is in spring, after rain. The quickest way to find the glow worms is to enter the Botanic Gardens through the Dell entrance in Kelburn. They are sprinkled along the path that leads downhill, eventually passing the duck pond to go to the main gate on Tinakori Rd.
