There’s a lot of loot in Escape From Tarkov, and the time you spend on deciding what to keep in the middle of a raid can absolutely get you killed. Generally, the less time you spend staring at your backpack the better, and so I’m here to help you out with understanding what items to keep as a new player, what to sell to the NPC traders, and what is best kept for the Flea Market.
In some specific cases, Jaeger also buys a few items for the best value, the only one I know for sure is the Antique Axe melee weapon. When you unlock the flea market (at level 5) you should generally sell large stacks of ammo on there, because the vendor value is typically much lower.

It depends on the weapon. I try to stick to 2-3 platforms so if I'm not running that particular weapon I will sell it. If it is a basic weapon I will sell it whole on the flea. If it is highly modded I will disassemble it (right click disassemble) keep the mods I like them sell each piece on the flea and sell the actual weapon platform to a trader.
Really just sell anything you don’t plan to use. You can look up “tarkov items needed for quests/hideout” to get a good idea of things to keep or that might sell well. Really you just need to spend some time learning what vendor value something has vs it’s flea value.
