Oct 11, 2022 · I recommend getting as many of these rifles as you can early on from day one within Tarkov, specifically the OP-SKS model, which allows for easy access to scope mounting.
The tradeoff is ergo vs MOA. Ergo is a lot better at ranges where you're using iron sights so it depends on if you want a scope or not. You literally cant put a sight on the infantry since the bolt is in the wrong position.
The new Pistol Caliber Carbine is quickly becoming my favorite gun. Got it on a Scav run with no irons so I extracted after only looting few containers and getting really lucky with a MAG5-60 mag in a weapons case. I put on an optic, take it to the range and oh boy how much of a laser it is.
