Jan 23, 2016 · I'll be using this to mount the TV though, which is adjustable: TV wall mount (rotate & tilt), 32”-70”, 40 kg (WM-70RT-01) I'd only be adjusting the TV occassionally to plug/remove a cable, but the discussion here has got me a bit worried.
If you use decent screws, you should have no problem mounting right to the surface wood, without worrying about where you are behind it. It's a much more robust material than drywall, and 52 lbs is not all that heavy.
