Wire cutter. A new feature in the mod as of version 1.1.1 is the wire cutter tool to quickly remove all connections in an area. The wire cutter has a shortcut button and a hotkey (Alt + X). Please, remember, that you can disable unwanted shortcuts and remap hotkeys. The wire cutter is a selection tool, similar to e.g. the deconstruction planner.

You can't do that because wires don't store signals, they're just passing along the signals given to them by the attached entities. If you want to remove a signal, you'd need to find whatever entities are adding a value to that signal and remove them.
Wire Shortcuts. by daydev. Removes red and green wires as craftable items and makes them available as shortcuts, similar to blueprints and planners. Let them clutter your inventory no more! Additionally, adds a shortcut to pick up a copper wire for the rare instances when it's necessary.
Basically, the mod works with other mods (in this case Immersive Engineering and Industrial Wires) to provide the structures for wires to be carried on. It doesn't actually add wires. Even if I was able to add wires, I'd rather have another mod add them that is compatible with various energy transport mods, so the powerlines are actually able to carry energy and have function.
