  2. Background. Screamtime Films is an independent horror film production company and distributor. The company was originally founded in 1992 by Todd Jason Cook as Horroscope Films. Under it's original name, the company did not use a logo, instead having just an in-credit notice at both the beginning and at the end of their releases.
