Definition of the Case Study. “A case study is an in-depth description and analysis of a bounded system” (Merriam, 2015, p.37). “The “what” is a bounded system (Smith, 1978), a single entity, a unit around which there are boundaries” (Merriam, 2015, p.38)/(Stake, 2005).
