That might be the best reason to use a games based approach to basketball. Your practices will be instantly more fun and engaging. 1. Perfects. Overview: This is a great basketball drill for players to practice shooting with perfect form and also a for coaches to teach and correct shooting form. Setup: Players form three lines a couple of feet out from the basket. Use both ends of the court if possible so that kids get to take more shots.
Instructions: (3) starts the drill by dribbling until within passing distance of (5) and then makes the long pass. (3) continues sprinting and receives the basketball from (1) for the layup. (1) immediately sprints up the court after passing and receives the pass from (5) at full sprint and passes to (2) on the opposite high post.
