It aims to understand how language is used in real-life situations. It goes beyond analyzing just the words and sentences to establish a deeper understanding of how language is used.
Generally, mixed methods infer methods (data collection and sometimes analysis) within a research design that may be identified as either primarily positivistic or social constructionist, social constructivist, phenomenological, or interpretive in nature.
