Fortunately, the DLVA has now rolled out a free online MOT certificate replacement service that allows you to print out your own certificate at home. Here's what you'll need to print your MOT certificate from home: Your vehicle’s registration number. The 11-digit reference number from your V5C logbook.

Cars, motorcycles and vans
You can ask for a replacement certificate in person from any MOT centre. It does not have to be the centre that did the original MOT. You’ll need to bring the vehicle registration (number plate) and log book (V5C) reference number. The centre can charge you up to £10.
Heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and trailers
You can fill in and post a document replacement form for HGVs and trailers (VTG59). You’ll need to pay £13.
Public service vehicles (PSVs)
You can fill in and post a document replacement form for PSVs (VTP6). You’ll need to pay £13.

May 22, 2019 · MOT tests are a must for all drivers but the certificate that comes with it used to prove costly for anyone who requested an additional copy. The DVSA are now allowing motorists to print off their certificates from home, saving millions each year.
The new service launched this month allows vehicle owners to view and save their MOT certificate as a PDF, and print a copy if they need one. The service is available at http://www.gov.uk/replace-mot-certificate .
