  8. Yes and no. Gandalf begged not to be sent in the first place (not to Eru) because he feared Sauron. By that I mean when the 5 Istari were originally dispatched to Middle Earth. If I recall there is no interaction mentioned between Gandalf and anyone after he dies and is being sent back.
