Aug 30, 2023 · Giganotosaurus is an extinct genus of carcharodontosaurid dinosaurs that lived around 99.6 to 97 million years ago (30 million years before Tyrannosaurus rex roamed North America). They were almost equal or a bit bigger in size compared to Carcharodontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus; but not as large as Spinosaurus.
