My grand consensus of Man of Steel is that it had all the right ingredients for a more "realistic" Superman, however poor writing and direction resulted in a mediocre movie. Perhaps the same script under a different director could have resulted in a more well received film?

Superman's first adversary was General Dru-Zod, who's goal was to turn planet Earth into the new Krypton. Superman had no other choice but to kill Zod or he was going to continue to hurt innocent people.
Superman (MOS)'s design is based off his Man of Steel attire.
Basic Abilities:
•Attack |M1|: Default combat dealing 3-5 DMG per hit. •Heavy Attack |M2|: A strong uppercut dealing 5 DMG. •Charged Uppercut |Hold M1|: A charged uppercut dealing 3 DMG and launches the opponent up, allowing air combos. •Sprint |Shift|: Faster movement. •Dash |Q|: A quick dash, allowing a quick escape; you can dash forward, left, right, and backwards. •Block |F|: Blocking weakens the amount of damage being taken.
Moveset:
•Sonic Punch |1|: Superman (MOS) punches the opponent with his super strength, dealing 10 DMG. [CD: 11] •Heat Vision |2|: Superman (MOS) blast the opponent with his heat vision, dealing 2 DMG per hit. [CD: 9] •Spin |3|: Superman (MOS) grabs the opponent, spins the around, and then throws them, dealing 8 DMG. [CD: 9] •Knockdown Combo |4|: Superman (MOS) throws the opponent up and then flies up and knocks them back down, dealing 8 DMG. [CD: 19] •Ultimate |H|: Superman (MOS) throws the opponent in the air and repeatedly punches them before throwing them back down, dealing high DMG.

I see your argument every now and then, with someone claiming that people who liked Man of Steel aren't "real" fans or "didn't even like Superman until MoS". But the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of people out there like me who grew up loving the character AND still love Man of Steel.
