    Illinois wins it’s first ever bowl game appearance and the inaugural Big Ten/Pac-12 Rose Bowl. The 1947 Rose Bowl was the first of 75 straight sellouts. Illinois head coach Ray Eliotwould win his first of two Rose Bowls with the Illini.
