Dec 15, 2020 · I want to continue my free trial, but not forget and get charged to renew. Shouldn't this be an option? I don't want to renew and I don't want to subscribe for another year. I barely use it, but just enough to not cancel right now. 1) renew for $4.99 a month. 2) subscribe for $49/year. 3) cancel free trial (lose access to apple tv+ immediately)

If you have an Apple TV+ subscription, then it will auto-renew (until canceled). If you had an Apple TV+ subscription, but not anymore, then you can re-subscribe. Get Apple TV+ - Apple Support.
