Aug 27, 2014 · Yes. Only GTA IV requires a RockStar Social Club Account, and that's only if you want to play online. Previous GTA titles do not require any such memberships. You'll also need a Games for Windows LIVE account if you want to save your achievements.

Sep 5, 2023 · First time loading up FiveM....I've heard you don't need to sign in to social club when loading up FiveM but when i click it it says "A rockstar games social club account owning Grand Theft Auto V is required to play FiveM. I bought GTA through steam and I've been told it should automatically load up without logging in, i'm just a bit hesitant to give my details. Anyone else had this issue?

If you downgrade GTA IV and EFLC with official patches you can run the games without Rockstar Games Launcher and Steam. 1.0.4.0 and 1.0.7.0 being the most popular patches for GTA IV and either Patch 1 or Patch 2 for EFLC.
