Jan 12, 2024 · There are many ways to help camouflage a wall-mounted TV so that it doesn't spoil your decor, from choosing a picture frame design (like Samsung's Frame TV) that turns into a work of art when not in use, to choosing a mirror with an integrated TV, to all manner of cover-ups such as sliding cabinet doors or curtains.

- Urban/Modern. Urban/modern (sometimes called urban modern) designs incorporate plenty of clean lines and neutral colors. Minimalism is at the center of this decor with a few bits of color and texture accents thrown in to create an urban edge.
- Futuristic. Futuristic is a more extreme version of modern decor. It takes the signature minimalism of urban style even further, eliminating anything unnecessary around the TV and doubling down the focus on clean surfaces and lines.
- Farmhouse/Country. Farmhouse and country are not exactly similar, though they share plenty of attributes. Farmhouse has its roots in France while Country is a style nurtured in the southern United States.
- Industrial. Distressed wood, exposed walls, and bare steel are the hallmarks of this decor. It makes use of sharp lines and rustic colors to recall the industrial error that marked the turn of the century.
- Integrate your TV into a bookcase. Considering making a shelving unit one of your accent wall ideas? You can incorporate a TV into it. ‘When it comes to installing TV wall ideas in projects, we are definitely installing more and using some inventive ways to conceal them,’ says Emma Deterding, founder and creative director at Kelling Designs.
- Choose black accents to tie in your TV visually. This scheme works well with this TV – the black lampshade and accessories link to it and because it’s not huge in size the proportions work well with the rectangular inset shelves.
- Invest in a TV that looks like art when switched off. Thankfully, technology is moving on and as a result you can buy TVs that give you an option of an image instead of the black view.
- Create a scheme that’s decorative to distract the eye. If you're lucky enough to live in a warmer climate that allows you to watch TV outside, then the same interior design rules apply.
