I prefer the sub for most anime because Japanese and English do not correlate very well and you can get some pretty cringe voicelines in the dub because of this.
I tend to prefer subs, and Naruto is not one of the exceptions. Most the time, I find that dub VAs are mediocre at best, and all too often good translation is sacrificed in favor of lip syncing. Besides, I want to eventually learn the language.
In most anime I much prefer sub, but for naruto, everything about dub makes it better I feel that dub has a lot of emotion and power out into the screams, voicelines, and the large speeches, such as itachi’s.

Oct 21, 2022 · It’s best to watch it sub. Shippuden changes it’s course and the dub becomes more dramatic than its sub counterpart. For the original Naruto I’m okay with both. Naruto dub is fine but I’d watch sub since the little things like how they talk are completely different and how they say things.
