I prefer the sub for most anime because Japanese and English do not correlate very well and you can get some pretty cringe voicelines in the dub because of this.

May 23, 2024 · If you’re a fan of Naruto Shippuden, one of the most popular anime series of all time, you may have faced the eternal debate: dubbed or subbed? Watching anime in its original Japanese language with English subtitles (subbed) has long been the preferred choice for purists.
I heard it’s better to watch Shippuden in Sub due to better voice acting and fitting the characters after they’ve grown, but I got used to the dub in Part 1. Please don’t attack me about watching dub, as I grew up in my childhood watching dubbed anime most of the time.
I watched most of it dubbed, and wanted to get your opinion on what I should do for Shippuden. Near the end of the series I switched over to subbed for a few episodes to feel it out. The subbed audio definitely fit in better with emotional pieces, some of which fell flat with me in the dubbed.
Dubbb all the way. It’s so much funnier tbh you don’t have to spend time reading the lines and it gives you more time to watch the actual anime. dub for sure, dub voice actors for naruto are legendary, even better in shippuden! dub for naruto and dbs is legendary.

Jul 28, 2013 · I'd recommend watching it subbed. As mentioned by everyone else the subbed voice acting is much better. In addition, if you are marathoning the series eventually you'll have to switch to subbed if you want to catch up to the latest episode.
