  3. Like others have said, it hasn't aged well, but many early 3D games haven't. This one just gets more crap because of the hype it garnered. Also, just to throw it out there, if you only play one game in the series, I suggest Toshinden 2.

Final Words: Battle Arena Toshinden is most definitely a cult classic and surprise hit fighting game on Sony's PlayStation 1. It was a solid launch title for the PS1 classic, and no doubt more than a "decent" console fighting game for the time.

  5. Unfortunately there is no perfect solution, and more recently I found out the PS2 has a fast disk reader mode, and the PS3 is slightly faster than that. Usually this impacts the loading screens only for games. It also affects all games differently. Luckily in this case, Battle Arena Toshinden uses IGT. Lunatix.
