  4. Most cheaters feel their cheating is justified and in the case of chess this is very hard to do. Especially as its comparativley(to other games) easy to reclimb to your proper ranking in chess there is a reasonable argument to be made that a few innocent but reasonably suspicious people being banned is worth having a lot fewer people around who only cheat sometimes.

  5. Agreed lol. Since I returned to chess.com a month ago I've played and reported two of the most obvious cheats I've ever seen and they haven't been banned. Like 96+ accuracy every game, suspicious move times, spending time on obvious recaptures. And my personal favorite, one of them beat an engine user who got banned.

Engines rely on depth and skill level for the moves, so low skill level and depth means bad moves but strong enough to be playable against a human. Actual cheaters copy stockfish moves (default skill level: 20 iirc). So insane accuracy gets them banned.
