Not saying it's the case in this scenario, but as someone who has been in over 80 different Costcos in the US and Canada, I've noticed that the general vibe trickles down from the warehouse general manager.
Largely depends on your department. Not every department starts and ends at the same time. But I can tell you that a normal full day is 8 hours and 30 minutes (including an unpaid lunch) so it might be tough to not start before 8 and still be off by 5.
Data is accurate as of August 2022. These cover in warehouse positions: AGM - positions are Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible: $90000. Staff Managers - positions are Manager Extra Check eligible ($4,500 potential) Merch Manager, Front End , Receiving, Admin manager $85000.
There is early 4:30 AM shifts available to stockers of every department in the warehouse but less than a handful of people will be stocking during store hours. Most daytime jobs go to front end duties dealing with customers checking out. There are after store close stocker positions available too.
