While the DLC (Knife of Dunwall, Brigmore Witches) are not needed to finish D1 or neccessary to understand what happens in D2, i highly recommend to grab hold on them and grind through them. In the main story you play as Corvo, who avenges the murder of the empress and saves Emily and stuff.
Feb 16, 2017 · Of course, though, with a 2-part DLC story pack for Dishonored that was loved and respected by the fans, it stands to reason that Dishonored 2 will get the same treatment.
A trials mode like D1 got would have been nice but I don't think D2 or DotO sold as well as they hoped although I'm not 100% sure of this. Dishonored 2 failed in sales sadly. Death of the Outsider is pretty much an entire game, so that might be why it is the only DLC. And you don't need to tag this post with spoiler.
