In raids, while higher IVs are better, the difference in performance between a 0% and 100% IV Pokémon if the same species, level, and moveset is only ~10%. Practically, you're never going to notice this unless you frequently short-man raids.
It depends on your rank. Some ranks require only battles (doesn’t matter if you win or lose,) some require only 1 win, and above a certain level ranking up requires more than 5 wins. Look at the chart in the top comment for how many battles or wins you need.
IVs don't matter until they do, usually in GBL. Matches can flip based on breakpoints/bulkpoints. Dialga is the most famous, it must be 15/14/12 or better to tie the mirror lead. If you lose the mirror lead you lose switch advantage and a shield or your next Poke takes a Draco Meteor to the face.
