Contact your Caterpillar representative for programming instructions. Service Tool ET (Electronic Technician) allows for the activation of the “Eaton Top 2” Transmission Style parameter. Once the Eaton Top 2 is activated, gear ratios must be programmed as well. Each ratio must be programmed to three decimal places.

Wait at least 2 minutes. Turn the Key to the ON position and wait until a solid “N” is in the gear display. Turn the Key to the START position and restart the engine. If the problem continues and the vehicle is inoperable, contact a service facility to have the vehicle and transmission system evaluated.
