Remove the key from keyway and install the re-verse gear limit washer on mainshaft, flat side of washer up. Rotate washer in the 5th groove of mainshaft to align the splines of washer with those of the mainshaft and reinsert key in key-way to lock washer in place. 19. Install the spacer on shaft against washer.

Place all three mainshaft sliding clutches in the neutral position. Install the new shift bar housing gasket in posi-tion on case. 2. With all three shift bars in the neutral position, in-stall the shift bar housing assembly on case, fit-ting the shift yokes into slots of corresponding sliding clutches.

Mar 22, 2024 · Remove the faulty transmission pump from the mower, carefully disconnecting any associated hoses or cables. Install the new transmission pump, ensuring proper alignment and connection of hoses and cables. Reconnect the spark plug wire and start the mower to test the restored power in the hydrostatic transmission.

Make sure oil is level with filler opening. Because you can reach oil with your finger does not mean oil is at the proper level. One inch of oil level is about one gallon of oil.
Drain transmission while oil is warm. To drain oil remove the drain plug at the bottom of the case. Clean the drain plug before reinstalling.
Clean case around filler plug and remove the plug from side of the case. Fill transmission to the level of the filler opening. If the transmission has two filler openings, fill to level of both openings. The exact amount of oil will depend on the transmission inclination and model. Tighten the plug as follows: For an Eaton Fuller transmission with a plug with 3/4-inch pipe threads, tighten the plug 25 to 35 lbf·ft (34 to 47 N·m). For an Eaton Fuller transmission with a plug with 1-1/4-inch pipe threads, tighten the plug 60 to 75 lbf·ft (81 to 102 N·m).
