First, it didn't have anywhere near the level of budget or the same sort of style as the Star Wars prequels. I don't know where you're getting that from. BE was $44 million according to the wikipedia. Second, if you really think BE was not a bad movie you need to watch a lot more movies -- good movies.
It wasn't hilarious at all, it was just straight up bad. Even after hearing for years how it was a terrible movie I always figured it can't be that bad, but it really is that bad . For anyone here who thinks they still want to watch this movie, do yourself a favor and don't.
