UH School of Theatre & Dance Announces Its 2024-25 Season. The School of Theatre & Dance at the University of Houston’s Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts, under newly appointed director Sharon Ott, is pleased to announce its 2024-25 season featuring 11 productions that promise to be a showcase of ambition and creativity.
Our Theatre Undergraduate program offers B.F.A. degrees in Acting, Production, Stage Management, Playwriting & Dramaturgy and Theatre Education. Students will develop their skills onstage and behind the scenes with access to high-profile faculty and guest artists, costume and scenic workshops, professional-grade design studios and three on-campus performance facilities.

- Next Level Acting Studios. Breakdown: All levels are accepted, from beginners to advanced. Classes include aspiring professionals and those looking to step out of their comfort zone.
- Film Acting Academy. Breakdown: Classes are available for newcomers and professionals in film, TV, and commercial work; you can also opt for in-person and Zoom private coaching sessions.
- University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance. Breakdown: The school’s MFA in acting is an immersive three-year program, and its BFA entails a four-year acting progression.
- Next Actor Studio. Breakdown: A SAG-AFTRA signatory company located in West University, Next Actor offers beginner, intermediate, nonbeginner, and intense classes in person and virtually.
