Oct 23, 2024 · For general use Google Maps works just fine here in Thailand for 99% of travelers coming here. Hotels, eateries, parks, ferries, etc are all easy to find your way to. My wife loves the voice directions, myself I prefer to simply use the map the old fashion way.

Jan 12, 2023 · Google has also revealed the lists of places in Thailand with the most direction requests and interactions on Google Maps in 2022 including beaches, shopping centres, cafes and restaurants, as well as the most reviewed historical sites and landmarks of all time.
As a Thai, Google Maps is the most reliable and accurate service out there if you want to check for places. There is no local service or apps (except places to eat, there is Wongnai app). And Apple Maps, Garmin and TomTom are just trash in this country.
