I think grammarly has some AI writing tools (like actually write for you) would probably count as AI use. Using it as a spelling/grammar checker shouldn't count though. There was someone posting in this subreddit just the other day saying they got flagged for AI when they only used grammarly.
Do you have a version of your paper that wasn't edited using Grammarly? Perhaps use it on the AI detector? It doesn't make sense that word corrections and grammar checks would be considered as AI when there's tools like chatGPT that can generate the paper in its entirety
Grammarly has a Word plugin option, where you can run Grammarly tools directly in the document without having to go to the web version. I suspect that's what's adding the GrammarlyDocumentId tag. You can turn yourself in knots trying to catch and prove inappropriate AI use.
