Filling and saving PDF forms
To be able to fill in and save a PDF form, download and then open the form using the free Adobe Reader: Save the PDF fillable/savable form in a folder that you will easily find on your computer. Launch Adobe Reader. Browse to the folder where you saved the file, and open it from within Adobe Reader. You can now fill and save your PDF form. Note: CRA fillable/savable PDF forms have been tested for compatibility with Adobe Reader 9 and higher and may not be fully supported in other PDF viewers and on some mobile devices.
Printing PDF forms
Before you print, set the page size in the Adobe Reader print properties to legal or letter based on the size of the document. Need a signature? If a signature is required, completed forms must be printed and signed by hand. If you experience problems printing a PDF: Use the latest printer driver: Printer manufactures regularly release updated printer drivers to improve compatibility with newer software. Make sure you have the latest version. Print to a different printer: If you have a second printer connected to your computer, try printing the file to it. Use the "Print as image" option: Adobe Reader gives you the option to print the PDF form as an image and this can resolve some printing issues. In Adobe Reader, this setting is found in the “Advanced” settings of the “Print” dialog box. Remember: You are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of any information submitted on a form. Non-resident recipient's copies Print one page containing two slips for the recipient. Make sure your account number is in the box called “Non-resident account number” on these copies. Canada Revenue Agency's copy Print one page containing two slips for the Canada Revenue Agency. Cross out the second slip completely. Do not separate the slips—attach the full page with your Summary. Do not enter the information from the slip you crossed out on your Summary. Only enter the information from the slip you did not cross out.
