  2. Dec 12, 2020 · Does new Mac mini M1 (2020) support Dolby Digital (5.1) audio? I connected my Mac mini via HDMI to my Samsung Smart TV (using an HDMI 2.0 4k cable). The TV sends audio back to my Denon AVR via HDMI ARC.

  3. Does the Apple TV native app for mac mini stream in 4K by default or are there settings that I need to change? Besides ensure “best available” as streaming setting? I have a 28in Samsung 4K UE570 UHD monitor. It depends. It is limited to 1080p HDR with the built in GPU. However, I have an eGPU on my 2018 mini and seemingly get 4k HDR.
