May 11, 2024 · Welcome to the Microsoft Community! I’m pleased to confirm that the offer to obtain Minecraft Java for free if you already have Bedrock is indeed still available. As of June 7, 2022, all players who own either the Java Edition or Bedrock Edition will receive the other edition they do not currently own for free, directly in the Minecraft Launcher.
