Sep 10, 2021 · Apart from the PlayStation 4/5 controllers, it seems even owners of Xbox controllers and generic controllers are also having some issues with NBA 2K22. Hey, my Xbox One controller is not working on NBA 2K22, but it works on other games like Forza Horizon (Steam version) and the previous NBA 2K21. I’m not sure what the problem is.

- Reboot the PC. Make sure to simply restart your computer after closing the game and Steam because a normal reboot to the system may fix multiple temporary glitches or cache data issues.
- Reconnect your Controller/Joystick. You’ll have to exit the NBA 2K22 game and close Steam then make sure to turn off your controller/gamepad. Now, turn on the controller/gamepad again and connect to your computer.
- Unplug Mouse/Keyboard or Other Peripherals. You should also unplug all the external peripherals from your PC such as the keyboard, mouse, printer, USB drives, and more.
- Press Alt+Enter keys. If you’re in the gameplay sessions and the controller gets disconnected automatically or can’t get recognized suddenly then make sure to press the Alt+Enter keys on the keyboard to get out of the game screen.
