O2 launched its 5G service on October 17th, 2019. It initially launched in six cities but its 5G service is now available in many more locations. O2’s average download speed is 23.1Mbps according to Opensignal, while its average upload speed is 5.3Mbps, and its average latency (the time in which it takes for the network to respond to a request) is 38.1ms. Traffic management

O2 are able to offer a lot more ways for customers to get help than giffgaff can. O2’s call centres are open from 8am - 9pm on weekdays, 8am - 8pm on Saturdays and 8am - 6pm on Sundays.

O2 does not offer unlimited data deals with speed limits, unlike some providers, so if you pay for unlimited data, you can be reassured that wherever you are, you will get to enjoy the best speed available. When it comes to 5G, O2 does not offer the fastest download speeds; that honour rests with Three (with 204.3Mbps).
