The next installment in my 101 Ways to Teach the Alphabet Series is an activity I call Magic Water Painted Letters. This activity takes advantage of a special paper that turns a dark color when exposed to water, but then quickly dries out. Kids will enjoy how magical this activity seems.
Painting with water is so much fun and a great way for your child to experiment and feel comfortable to have a go with early writing and drawing skills. It makes for a great outdoor activity and you really only need water and paint brush – simple!
- Alphabet Letters Painting. Let your child’s creativity take flight as they learn the ABCs with watercolor painting. This activity is a fun and interactive way to enhance their pre-writing abilities while learning the names and sounds of each letter.
- Watercolor Resist Art. Creating a message or drawing a hidden picture is exciting on its own, but revealing it with watercolor is even more thrilling!
