Feb 16, 2022 · “We have about 50 kilometers of cross-country ski trails and 20 kilometers of snowshoeing trails in the park, and they’re packed with snow right now.” The other defining factor of the weather this winter has been a lot more time in extreme cold temperatures.
It begins to disappear in late March and 95% of the ground is snow-free by the first week of May. Green-up proceeds from the second week of May with full leaf-out by the end of the month in most years.
Feb 28, 2023 · It’s a great place to stop in for maps and up-to-date information on trail conditions and what’s happening in the park. Heated washrooms are available 24/7 and are accessible at the Visitor Centre. The park also provide free-to-use cross-country skis and snowshoes.
