Transfer Admission. Rensselaer considers any student with 12 or more transferable college credits completed after high school as a transfer student. Transfer students may apply to all of our programs, with the exception of the accelerated medical program. Transfer students should apply via the Common App or the Coalition on SCOIR.

Standardized Test Requirements
1. SAT with writing or ACT with writing 2. SAT Subject Tests in Math (level 1C or 2C) and Science (biology, chemistry, or physics) for accelerated program applicants only (or ACT in lieu of SAT and SAT Subject Tests). 3. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (international applicants only). Applicants must have a minimum score of 570 on the paper-based test (PBT), a minimum score of 230 on the computer-based test (CBT), or a minimum of 86 on the internet-based test (iBT).
